Short CV
Vasileios Kochliaridis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1997. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from University of Ioannina in 2021. In his undergraduated thesis, he studied and applied Deep Reinforcement Learning algorithms in order to consruct intelligent systems for Autonomous Vehicles. Later, he developed state-of-the-art object detection classifiers for video streams as a part of his internship program. Later in 2021, Vasileios joined the Intelligent Systems Lab at the School of Informatics, AUTh, as a PhD student. The subject of his doctoral thesis is Deep Reinforcement Learning. His vision is to apply Deep Reinforcement Learning in various field, such as economics, industry, autonomous vehicles, biology, physical simulations, in order to create intelligent agents that are able to overcome the existing issues with the current state-of-the-art algorithms.
