The objective of this project is the development of an intelligent system for the remote monitoring, function recording and malfunction diagnosis of natural gas units. The system will be composed by many natural gas units. Each unit will be connected with a number of sensors that measure various characteristics indicative of the proper function of the unit. The data collected from these sensors will be sent to a central processing unit at fixed time points. The appropriate monitoring software will process the data in order to diagnose any malfunction. In case of the detection of improper function the operator of the system will be notified. Moreover, the data will be kept in a database for the purposes of further analysis and exploration by the data processing and analysis software.
