Abstract: This paper presents a complete architecture for a Smart University Building. The real-world deployment is based on a wide range of wireless sensor and actuator networks, inte- grated by a middleware based on the Service-Oriented Architec- ture of Web Services. The middleware provides the necessary basis for various energy monitoring, management and savings applications as well as Intelligent Agents in the context of Ambi- ent Intelligence.
